How to Increase your Blog Traffic on Autopilot with Pinterest and BoardBooster

Pinterest is my biggest source of Traffic to this Blog and the great thing about Pinterest is it's not complicated to get right. You just need to use it. And use it lots. As in, pin 50 - 100 times a day. Some people pin even more than that!

Just imagine how much time you'd spend on Pinterest if you manually pinned 100 pins a day! You'd never have time for anything else. Which is why you need to invest in a Pinterest automation / scheduling tool. There are lots but the most popular ones seem to be Tailwind and BoardBooster.

In this guest post by the lovely Cath from This Mama Learns she shows us how she manages 100+ pins a day using Tailwind, so I thought I'd show you how I manage it using BoardBooster Campaigns.

How I use BoardBooster Campaigns

There are two different types of campaigns you can create in BoardBooster; Scheduled and Random.

A Random Campaign takes pins randomly from one or more source boards you select and pins them to your specified source boards at a rate you select within the time scale you select. You can specify which days you want your campaign to work on, control how often duplicates are pinned to a board and even make sure your campaign on re-pins tall pins.

I use Random Campaigns to pin other bloggers' pins to the group boards I contribute to. The Campaigns take pins from my individual account boards and re-pins them at a rate of 1 pin a day to the group boards.

I've created a couple of different Random Campaigns to cover different categories so I pin content that is on topic for the Group Boards.

A Scheduled Campaign take pins you add to one secret source board and re-pins them to the boards you specify on a set schedule.

I use Scheduled Campaigns to pin my own pins to multiple group Boards over the course of of 4 days.

I have three Scheduled Campaigns - one to pin my general Blogging posts to relevant boards, another to pin my Branding and Design posts to specific Branding and Design boards and the third one is for affiliate pins so I don't pin affiliate links to group boards that don't allow it.

Step 8: In the Advanced settings you can change the days you want your Campaign to run on. I recommend changing the duplication settings to longer than the default 5 days, especially if your Target Boards are still quite small. I set mine between 30-60 days depending on the board size and number of daily pins. Hit Save to finish creating your Random Campaign.
